In those days I was working in the field of aging as well as acting as a long-distance caregiver for my parents; later when my oldest sibling contracted Parkinson's Disease, I worked with two physicians to publish the "for Dummies" book on PD. More recently I cared for my late husband through the final eight years of his life. As I now have reached an age where I may be facing care for myself, I thought a blog sharing what I have learned about giving (and receiving) care might be of value.
