Grace Heers is an Australian memoirist and essayist. At forty-seven she moved to Sydney’s Kings Cross for a year, looking for a second chance and something to write about. She found the people the world seemed determined not to see, and her own wounds among them. Her debut memoir, Darling Humans: Trespassing in Kings Cross, is the book of that year.

She is also the author of Manna Days, a short book for people hurt by church. She writes the Substack Human Moments, hosts The Unsilenced, a fortnightly women’s writing circle in Maleny, and lives in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. She is writing her next book.
