Oli is an English travel writer, public speaker and cricketing cyclist. For 14 months in 2009 & 2010 he pedalled his bicycle through 23 countries on his way from London to Brisbane. When he arrived, he had cycled to the Ashes, and played cricket along the way with the national teams of Hungary, Serbia and Turkey, desert nomads in Sudan and Google executives in India to name a few.

Oli has written about his experiences for, among other publications, The Guardian, Cycling Plus Magazine, Matador, The Cricketer, Cricinfo and The Calcutta Telegraph. His first book, Cycling to the Ashes: A Cricketing Odyssey from London to Brisbane, was published by Random House in 2013.
