A Note from Amon Chizema – Welcome, Reader

Hello, and thank you for finding your way here.

I’m Amon Chizema, and The Land Remembers is my debut novel. It’s not out yet — we’re preparing for a November release — but I wanted to take a quiet moment now to say: welcome. I’m glad you’re here.

This is a story born from memory and silence — the kind of silence that lives between fathers and sons, between legacy and expectation, and between the land and those who walk it.

I wrote this novel for readers who understand that land is never just land. It remembers. It bears witness. It carries names long after we forget them.

I’ll be sharing some reflections in the months ahead — about the characters, the inspiration behind Alkebulan Farm, and what it meant to write this book. If you’re interested in stories of family, land, legacy, and quiet resistance, I hope this one finds its way to you.

Feel free to drop a question in the “Ask the Author” section — I’d love to hear from you.

With gratitude,
Amon
