Tonight I decided to step out from behind my writer's desk in my writer's nook at my writer's abbey. No books, no plugs, no nothing. It's just me here. I could be somewhere dangerous and wet and cold. But I'm not. That's a good thing.

I could also be hungry. But I'm not. That's another good thing. I could not have any books to read. But I do have books. Mark yet another good thing. That tallies up to a lot of good things.

Tomorrow will be the busiest travel day of the year. That's a lot of motion out there. Folks are determined to get together with their families. But take it easy and be safe. It's not a race. We'll all get to where we're going sooner or later.

But let's get back to those blessings: the original point to this post. One of my most cherished blessing is to write books along with all the other important ones. Thanks for reading my writing, too.
