Where did you get the ideas for your books?
Where did you get the ideas for your books?
Honestly? Everywhere.
Sometimes it's something funny that happens during the day. Sometimes it's a random thought that pops into my head at 2 a.m. Sometimes it's a conversation, a book I'm reading, something I overhear at the grocery store, or a simple "What if...?"
I keep a running list of ideas because inspiration has terrible timing. 😄 Some ideas become books right away, while others sit on the list for months—or even years—waiting until they feel like the right fit.
I also pay attention to the little things people don't always talk about: the awkward moments, the encouraging words we all need to hear, the silly thoughts we all have, and the everyday experiences that make us human.
Those often become my favorite books because they're the ones that make people smile and say, "I thought I was the only one!"
In the end, my books come from curiosity, everyday life, and asking a lot of "What if...?" questions.

Hey, it's me...
Meridith Anne is the creator of thoughtful, encouraging journals designed to be more than just books—they're companions.
Inspired by everyday life, meaningful conversations, humor, and the wonderfully unpredictable ways our minds work, she creates interactive journals that invite readers to write, reflect, laugh, dream, and tell their own stories. Her growing collection includes guided journals, letter-writing journals, creative writing companions, cozy mystery-inspired books, and patient advocacy resources.
As an independent publisher, Meridith enjoys every part of the creative process—from developing ideas and designing covers to organizing prompts and crafting the welcoming pages that greet readers before they begin writing. She believes every book has its own personality and hopes each one feels like a supportive friend waiting to listen without judgment.
When she isn't creating her next journal, she's usually brainstorming new ideas, listening to audiobooks, learning something new about publishing, or asking, "What would Kevin think about this?"
Whether you're celebrating small victories, writing letters you'll never send, sorting through life's daily chaos, or simply looking for a place to be yourself, Meridith hopes you'll find a journal that feels like it was made just for you.
