Can a 21st century human possibly be a member of a species that went extinct tens of thousands of years ago? He enlists the help of an anthropologist with some ancient hominin issues of her own to search for his roots. But will either of them survive the search? The germ of this book was my daughter's fascination with ancient human species. It grew into a short story, and from there to a novel in progress that recently won a "best manuscript" citation from the Writers League of Texas.(less)
