Question

How often do you visit Goodreads? I used to drop by daily but now not so much. I wonder how often others use the site. Let me know if you see this post and feel like it. :)

I'm Bored Today

I'm bored today. Send a response telling me something entertaining and I'll send you a complimentary e-copy of any one of my novels. Remember, it must be entertaining. First four (entertaining) responses get the books.

Now, come on then. Let's give it a go.

Reviews?

Hey y'all, if you've been lucky enough— :p—to read my new release BUT NOW I SEE please mosey on over to Amazon and leave a glowing review. Pretty please? I know Eric Damien would like it if you do. And we know what Damien wants, Damien gets.

Thanks to all of you who take the time to leave reviews for your favorite authors and books. Writing a book is hard work and for all but the luckiest among us, the effort is largely underappreciated. Leaving a review is a great way to say thank you to a writer whose book you enjoyed. I try to remember to do the same when another author makes me happy.

Peace out.

Lulu

Sequel coming...

Hey y'all, the sequel to MY HEART TO FEAR is coming soon! BUT NOW I SEE will be going live later this month. The exact release date is still not nailed down but it will be in January so look out for it.

If the first book is about evil unleashed, the second book is an attempt at redemption. Is it even possible for Eric Damien to salvage his moral compass, considering how many sins have broken it?

Read it and decide for yourself. I'll keep you posted. :)

Oops.

Just want all the fabulous readers who purchased MY HEART TO FEAR to know there's an updated version on Amazon.

A reader alerted me to the fact that when I changed the locale of the book (for the fifth time, I think), my lousy editor didn't make the necessary changes throughout the text (me, LOL). Good thing I'm a much better editor of other people's work. :)

Anyway, please accept my humblest apologies for the inconvenience and if you haven't read the novel yet, please update your version so you don't have the Puget Sound anywhere near Denver. Of course, there's always literary license. ; )

I should also point out that the pacing of the story is critical to the overall takeaway of it. If you skim, you will not get the impact—the devil is in the details (pun apology). You have to commit to staying with me for the duration of the book to truly experience the gut punch of... well, I'm not going to spoil the surprise.

Reviews for MY HEART TO FEAR

Aw, snap. A couple of wonderful, fabulous people who took the time and made the effort to read and review my new novel mentioned that the POV switch was confusing.

So sorry about that. Here's what I have to say: though POV refers to 1st-person, 2nd-person, 3rd person, most readers think it refers to the character's point of view who's speaking and whose interior thought is catalogued. That's true in 1st-person. My narrator is 3rd-person omniscient, so all-knowing. The narrator knows everyone's thoughts and motivations. Since more than one character might inhabit any given scene, it's not always possible to shift gears for each character when you have a fully omniscient narration. Most writers use limited omniscience (the all-knowing is limited to one or two characters) but in this novel the characters' backstories are integral to the plot so that was the choice I made. I knew it might be somewhat confusing.

One other thing: I sort of suck at formatting. Although there should have been section breaks for most of the shifts, they may not all have shown up. My bad. Truly.

Having said that, I'm so happy y'all stayed with it despite your confusion. I so very much appreciate it. Seriously. The sequel is coming soon. Already written. Thanks!!!
