Cynthia Marsh was born in Australia, but brought up in the UK. She spent most of her childhood with her nose stuck in a book and had to be chased out of the house to go and play during the holidays. Her treasured copy of 'Black Beauty' was very battered and torn!

Cynthia enjoyed writing stories and creating characters as a child, but on going to College in London and then working in the capital for many years her writing was put on a back burner.

She started her first book, 'Pharaoh's Gold - Aten Sequence 1' just before she went travelling in Australia and New Zealand. She was full of good intentions that she would complete it before she returned, but the lure of the sun, beaches and rainforest proved too strong.
