The US An Old-Fashioned Country?
This book is a collection of unmasked impressions of a Swiss immigrant. He sees the US as politically divided into two solid camps. Congress is paralyzed and not willing or able to compromise to find a win-win solution. Each political party is insisting on using its own methods.
The democracies of the United States and Switzerland have much in common but are nevertheless quite different when it comes to details. Many issues still open in American politics have found a solution in Switzerland during the last few decades.
The author compares economies and social structure in these two countries and shares stories of his new life in the United States, his views on American History, and the role of Americans abroad with shocking truth.

VISION FOR AMERICA is a thought-provoking look at American events and interventions in international affairs and politics from the perspective of a Swiss Economist. Werner Neff’s study offers a political portrait of America in 2014. He speaks of Plutocracy, ineffective, and out of control leadership of the elected US Senate and House members. He shares his theory of a distorted democracy.
The book is based on Neff’s studies, research, and his profound knowledge of the socio-economic and political situation of America and its international relations and involvement in world politics.
Finally the author appeals to all Americans to use their democratic rights and to fulfill on their duties as citizens. He is encouraging to practice trust and solidarity, to respect core values, personal wants and needs.
