Gerald Locklin has referred to Ed as one of our greatest living poets, and I would never dispute that statement. Ed has been an inspiration, friend, and mentor to many of us who followed his literary footsteps. Buy his books, and read them. Consider it a gift to yourself...
Edward and my mother were quite close, so I was blessed to know him through her, and just adore him.One of my friends read Man Who.... and described it as"exceedingly interesting and deliciously spicey!" I read Stand Up Friend with Me while I was a young adult, and it still rings true 40 years later. That's CLASS.
