Fuelled by a healthy dose of weird, Isla has been writing stories since she could first put pen to paper. Drawn to the darker things in life, she writes urban fantasies filled with complex characters, atmospheric worlds, and high-stakes tension. The kind of stories where the monsters live among us, the women are dangerous, and no one walks the line.

When Isla isn’t writing (or doesn’t have her nose in a book), she spends her time baking and watching reruns of Midsomer Murders, Buffy, and anything that packs a punch.

She lives in Canada with her husband and their sassy cat, Lola.
