Louise M H Miller was born just outside Cambridge and moved to Yorkshire at a very early age. She attended University at Hull and studied History where she discovered her passion for the history of the British Empire. After leaving university she worked as a bookseller and then as a librarian before putting pen to paper. A Straight Path (2013) is her first novel.
She now lives with her partner in Derbyshire.

New Year Resolutions – yes already….

Well I’m obviously making New Year resolutions already. Obviously….

Not because I want to though. But because other life stuff gets in the way from starting them now. My favourite (or most commonly used) expression at the moment is ‘When we move….’. All sorts of phrases finish that sentence opener at the moment. We’re hoping to move in the next two weeks but ‘When we move….’ will s
