My name is Arika Legend, I grew up in the culture rich Appalachian Mountains on a small rural farm. I started writing short stories in elementary school, with noted success in local writing contests.

My teenage years were spent exploring the wilds of West Virginia with her best friend and confidant Scotty - a border collie. She kept her pup entertained with her flair for storytelling during their many journeys and, though I stepped away from writing for a time but never lost my passion for a good storyline.

After years of collecting ideas for stories I wanted to explore, and I have finally put away my nursing scrubs to pursue her lifelong passion for writing.
