HOME TRUTHS on sale
Hi, I thought you might like to know that my latest book, Home Truths, is currently on sale on Amazon, for the whole month of March. It is a slow-burn mystery that, to my knowledge, no-one has yet guessed...
Home Truths is a hard book to describe, but I do like this Goodreads reviewer's attempt:
"I am not giving anything away about this psychological thriller except to say it is brilliantly done, clever, tense and yet you don't know why it's so tense or what it is leading up to, you just know it is, and know all is going to be revealed."
Right now, I am sitting under the glass roof in my kitchen in London watching the rain and writing my latest book. I hope that none of you is affected by all the disruption (or even worse, illness) that Coronavirus is causing and I wish everybody to stay safe and well. Xx

My new novel When We Were Friends (originally published as A Serpentine Affair) launches here in the UK and most Commonwealth countries tomorrow (April 23rd). Here's what's being said so far:

One Step Too Far is back!

Just to let you know that One Step Too Far is being relaunched TODAY here in the UK, but by Penguin this time. For those of you who have already read it it has one (slightly) different storyline and two new chapters - maybe not enough to get you to read it again, but just in case you did want to I thought you should be warned! It's now on sale in bookstores up and down the country.

A Serpentine Affair coming soon

I am just in the process of editing my second novel A Serpentine Affair and it will be available on Goodreads as an ebook prior to its official publication in September 2013. The final draft should be available in the next week or so (I hope!). I am very excited about this book, it has been quite an experience re-reading it after months away from it - especially as I'd forgotten some bits altogether!
It has been a struggle to clear my mind for writing as I have been so focussed on bringing out One Step Too Far lately, but I'm fully back in the groove now, and will be in touch again soon.

I haven't written any blogs before (although I did do my first guest post yesterday, thanks Rainy Day Ramblings!), mainly because for years I thought no-one would be interested - but I have seen that I do now have some fans on Goodreads, and so I thought I would peek out from behind my keyboard to say thank you for your support. I have been overwhelmed by the response to One Step Too Far, both good and bad(!), and the past 3 months have taken me on an unimaginable journey that all started almost exactly three years ago, as a story for my mum. What has inspired me the most is the kindness and generosity of people who before this were strangers, who have helped me, promoted me and given me such insightful feedback that I was even changing the novel at final proof stage, and in so doing causing a good deal of stress to my typesetters and printers!
Thanks also to Rochester Public Library for hosting my first ever Q & A last week, and to everyone who took the time to read the book and then post their reviews.
