Kyra Halland has always loved fantasy. She has also always loved a good love story. She combines those two loves by writing the kinds of romantic fantasy novels she loves to read, tales of magical worlds where complicated, honorable heroes and strong, smart, feminine heroines work together to save their world - or their own small corner of it - and each other.

Who would a bounty-hunting wizard hunt? Outlaw wizards! Specifically, wizards who rebel against the rules and expectations of wizard society in the "civilized" land. As an added dimension to his character, I also decided to make him less concerned about enforcing wizard laws and more concerned about protecting the non-magical settlers on the frontier from those renegade wizards, who are only out for themselves. Of course, these ideas about protecting non-magical folks and promoting equality and freedom for them put him on the wrong side of the law, so now he's a renegade as well.(less)

In fact, I do have an idea for a sequel. It's been on the back burner while the idea comes together and I work on other projects, but I hope to get to it someday soon! It's a next-generation thing, but of course Eruz and Rashali would have an important part in it.(less)
