Andrei Ungureanu e asistent universitar (Sibiu) și ex-bursier al guvernului francez. A debutat cu volumul Povestiri și întâmplări din țara fumului (2021). Romanul Nașterea eroului a câștigat Premiul I la concursul „Primul roman” (2022), organizat de Editura Litera. În 2024, Andrei Ungureanu câștigă premiul I al concursului de manuscrise al editurii Universitare pentru romanul Gava nebunul. Din 2025 este membru al Uniunii Scriitorilor din România, filiala Pitești. A publicat proză scurtă și eseuri în reviste literare importante, precum Argeș, Tribuna, Caiete Silvane, Literomania, Euphorion, Nord Literar șamd.
