I've been so busy updating my blog that I forgot to update *this* blog. In the time between my last update and this one...well things have been madly busy. I performed at the Edinburgh Book Festival. Aye Write. Toured lots of Scottish school libraries. Built my cult up. And now, finally, my third novel of mondo weirdo YA is here.

It's called NORTH OF PORTER. A teenage boy takes on a serial killer in a small town filled with crop circles and secrets. The boy, a bitchy snooty teen named Porter, is armed with a handbag and a very sharp wit.

Honestly he isn't based on me.

Expect lots of twists, turns, and laser gun burns with this one!

My third book is being worked on right now and it's due for publication in October. It's called North of Porter and it's a lovely story about a teenaged boy with a handbag who takes on little gray men. Add it to your shelves when it becomes available. I hope you love it as much as I do.

The title of my second book is THE ENDLESS EMPRESS. It will be out in November 2014 via Strident Publishing. It will be available in all good bookshops/libraries/online retailers. And inside your head.

Conjuring The Infinite will be reviewed by Shari Low in Saturday's edition of the Daily Record. That's 25th January at the time of writing. I hope she gives it the thumbs up!

I've discovered officially quite unofficially that Conjuring The Infinite is longlisted for the Catalyst Book Award. Hurrah. Isn't that great news? I'll have to work hard to get into the shortlist, because I'm up against some of the most talented authors currently working in the genre.

I'm nearly finished the first draft of my second novel. It's strange, twisted, mad, weird and deranged. Gloriously so! It's written in the same style as Conjuring The Infinite but I'm pushing the structure further than before and...I hope it works.
