Raised in Kaneohe, Hawaii, Dawn Akemi is hapa haole. Though she’s lived on the mainland since college, her kama’aina upbringing has never left her. She’s studied writing throughout her life in both university and workshops. Her storytelling skills were honed by over a dozen years as a Hollywood actor. Her blog was awarded “Freshly Pressed” by Wordpress. Seven years ago, with her husband and two doggies, she chucked the city life in favor of full time RVing to live/work/learn while adventure-seeking throughout the vast, gorgeous, and diverse USA.

Stories inspired by her life are blogged at www.DawnAkemi.com
