Ian Wilkinson is a UK-based writer who explores the ideas and industries that quietly shape how people think and behave.

His first book, The Quiet Con, examines how the alcohol industry has spent decades manufacturing beliefs about drinking, and why most of us absorbed those beliefs without question. It is not a recovery book. It is a reckoning.

His second book, Nothing to Show for It, traces how the subscription economy replaced ownership with access across a generation that remembers what it felt like to own things. For anyone who still has a box in the loft they cannot use and cannot bring themselves to throw away.
