JK Hogan was born and raised in Chicago, where early exposure to different people, stories, and realities shaped the way he listens and sees the world. He earned a B.A. in Rhetoric from DePaul University, studying how language, storytelling, and attention shape belief, identity, and human behavior.

At the same time, JK spent years serving as a youth pastor, working closely with people navigating faith, pain, doubt, and transition. That combination of formal education and lived, relational experience grounded his ability to listen deeply and speak honestly—without abstraction or distance.
