Rick Iekel - husband, father of four, grandfather of ten, is retired and writing. During a 28-year career in aviation, writing was a pastime for quiet Sunday afternoons and peaceful summer vacations. Now a love of history and an interest in the ways and lives of the everyday person have drawn our author to write mostly in the genre of historical fiction. Raised on a farm in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains, he now resides with his wife in Rochester, New York.

Name Change (…heading for a new location)

I’ve been thinking about the name, “Writerrick” for a while. When I decided to begin blogging, it was the “thought of the moment” and seemed rather clever. But, is it? Time has moved on and, hopefully, I’ve grown a little in my writing skills. Today it seems a bit, shall I say, sophomoric.

While my initial intent for the blog was to promote whatever book I’m currently working on, I don’t feel good
