Loretta Colton worked as a lawyer with Canada’s Department of Justice for 30 years, including nine years as a prosecutor in the Northwest Territories, and twenty years in Ottawa working in the areas of criminal law, federal policing and national security law. Her first novel, What the Aurora Remembers: A Nicky Ryan Mystery, is a police procedural set in the Northwest Territories. She is working on her second Nicky Ryan book, which will be set in the world of national security policing in Ottawa.
