YA Summer Scavenger Hunt #118

Ahoy! You’ve made it to stop #118 on the YA Summer Scavenger Hunt. Your story should be coming together nicely about now. But before I give you your next word, how about I give you the chance to win some free books?

I’m gonna make this easy. One winner*. Three books. (and some goodies!) Use the rafflecopter form to sign up – you can get extra entries for sharing, but that’s totally not necessary. And what do you win? A signed copy of Someone Else’s Summer (hardback), a signed copy of 99 Days...

In June, the Alliance of Young Adult Authors is sponsoring a massive young adult scavenger hunt. This is a chance to meet some new authors, grab a bunch of free books, and sign up to win a whole bunch of epic prizes!

I am so excited to be taking part in this massive scavenger hunt. It is going to be so much fun, and you guys will get the chance to win some pretty awesome stuff! I’m gathering together my personal prize package, and I think it’s pretty nifty. Not that I’m biased or anything.

Someone Else’s Summer is out today!

[image error]Someone got eager and put it out early!

You guys! Someone Else’s Summer is officially out today. I can’t even believe it. This whole thing has been such an amazing journey. When I first came up with the idea for Someone Else’s Summer (way back in July 2014!) I never could’ve imagined things going this way. Even when I was writing it, and I knew I had something special…it’s just really been spectacular.

Thank you all for taking this journey with me. So many people have been so supportive of me...

Where I’ve Been

It’s been almost a year since I last posted. A year, y’all. (And, let’s be honest, my April posts last year took almost zero effort.)

So, where have I been the past year?

Well…[image error]

It’s been an intense year. Previously seen on RachelBateman.com: I’d just signed with my lovely agent, Liza. Since then, she sold my book! And it’s coming out SOON! Like, next month soon.

Someone Else’s Summer releases from Running Press on May 9th, 2017! And you can preorder it now!

Ideally, I would’ve been jumping fo...

As (Y)ou Wish

asyouwishEver since Viola’s boyfriend broke up with her, she has spent her days silently wishing—to have someone love her again and, more importantly, to belong again—until one day she inadvertently summons a young genie out of his world and into her own. He will remain until she makes three wishes.

Jinn is anxious to return home, but Viola is terrified of wishing, afraid she will not wish for the right thing, the thing that will make her truly happy. As the two spend time together, the lines between...

xviEvery girl gets one.
An XVI tattoo on the wrist–sixteen.

Some girls can’t wait to be sixteen, to be legal. Nina is not one of them. Even though she has no choice in the matter, she knows that so long as her life continues as normal, everything will be okay.
