P.E. Larsen is a researcher and professor with a long record of academic publication—and a lifelong love of fantasy.

After decades spent writing about the world as it is, Larsen turned to fiction to write about the world as it might be. The result is the Kingdoms series: stories of discovery, resistance, and connection across lines that were never meant to be crossed.

Blending a scholar’s curiosity with a storyteller’s heart, Larsen’s work explores what happens when people choose understanding over certainty, and compassion over fear.

These are, in many ways, the books Larsen spent years wishing existed—and finally decided to write.
