Liz Castle has been in love with romance novels ever since she found a stash of vintage Mills & Boons hidden in her grandmother’s basement. Every heroine was a nurse, secretary, or nanny, and every hero was an *sshole. She loved them all. Now, a graphic designer by day and writer of sexy, angsty romances by night, Liz’s characters are smart, ambitious dreamers… and only a little bit *ssholes.

Her debut novel Hot Lips is the first in an interconnected series set in the world of a hardworking Chicago indie rock band called Sexodus. She plans to release the second one, Love Lee, in 2027.

Castle is a pseudonym, but if you’re good at clues, you can figure out her real name!

What a strange and beautiful story! Lyrical, poignant, and infuriating, it was like a dream, both lovely and nightmarish. I adore retellings and this one was a perfect blend of fantasy, myth, romance, coming of age, adventure and feminine rage. I am ...more
