edit data

Sean McSweeney was born in London but moved to an overspill town, something he had no say in as he was only six years old at the time. It would need a control experiment (thus far deemed to be an impossibility) to determine whether or not this was beneficial. He went on to study Modern Languages and has spent the years since doing a wide variety of jobs whilst writing for various media. He lives in East Anglia with his girlfriend by kind permission of her cat.

He is also published on CUT: http://www.cutalongstory.com/authors/... ...more

Do You Remember When Plagues Were Only Mentioned in History Books, Not in Your Daily Newspaper?

There is village in Wiltshire that, like quite a few, has a plague stone on its boundary. Many people will know the history of these pitiful markers: charitable people from neighbouring settlements would leave food on them to be collected by residents of villages isolated by the Great Plague of the 17th century. In some instances, it was trade rather than charity, and a pool of vinegar was placed Read more of this blog post »
