Owen Power worked for many years in London as a training manager delivering government funded skills training to people long-term unemployed with additional support needs. He served as a diversity and equality advisor for a range of government social projects, and he produced an audio information cassette on safer sex and HIV/AIDS awareness for people without sight and people who had difficulties reading the printed word. In 2001 Owen decided to have a career change and he started to study at the Centre for Jewish Studies at the University of Manchester, his qualifications include BA(Hons), MA in Jewish Studies and MPhil supervised by Daniel Langton.
