Doranne Long, PT, MS has practiced physical therapy since 1981 after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Puget Sound, in Tacoma, Washington. In 1988, she completed a Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in Boston.
She has lived and worked in Southern Oregon for more than 25 years. She specializes as an orthopedic manual physical therapist. She believes it is vital to care for ourselves physically, as well as mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. She is passionate about empowering individuals, through education, to successfully manage their health.

This is the best book I have read this year! I loved the characters and the multi-layered depths to this novel. I was introduced to foods and cultures of Guyana, as well as better recognize the plights of many in our own country.
