For the Longest Time

Ah, hello goodreads blog, my old friend. It has been a long time indeed since I posted on here, but as I said I intended to use this blog only in relation to things that were writerley on my part.

Unfortunately this post is not to announce that book 2 of Element Keepers is about to be published (though I would like to assure anyone who has been bearing with me that I still intend to have a finished draft by the end of this year and hopefully have it completed next year). Nor am I announcing the publication of any of my other works in progress( i.e. "Jason Gold", "The Wildman", "Second-Hand Culture", "The Princess's Dragon", etc.) But I am indeed publishing something else that I am writing and it is very much free.

So this past summer my friend-- who is also a writer-- got to talking and decided that we wanted to do a podcast together. We spent a couple of months brainstorming the sort of thing we could do for a podcast and decided that we wanted to do something narrative, something that told a story, so we created "Students, Gods, and Other Codependents".

We both write and perform in the episodes with our friends and are already 3 episodes in. We have "4 arcs" of story planned and-- once we publish episode 4 in 2 weeks-- we'll be a third of the way through the first part of the story. Right now we've been writing alternating episodes, so the first one was written by my co-creator and the second was written by myself (though the two are really more connected than anything else so far and I'd recommend listening to both before making final judgement as they tell a full story.)

I should warn that there is more than a little swearing in the show. I couldn't recommend it to anyone under the age of 16 and even people over the age of 16 might not want to listen if they don't appreciate language of suggestive themes. That said, if you're able to tolerate-- or revel in-- those two things you should definately give it a listen and share it with your friends! => https://soundcloud.com/students-and-gods

That's all for now guys! I'll put a description of the show bellow, but hopefully you'll be hearing more from me on here over the next year!

"Going to college is difficult enough, but with Zeus as your headmaster, a professor that dabbles in necromancy, and a cute girl in Mad Science 101 that is probably a succubus, everything from going to lecture to shaking hands with a stranger can be an adventure. Students at Jupiter University, Ash and Isaac must survive a world they never expected to face. With their friends by their side they encounter gods, homework, monsters, and-- most dauntingly-- social interactions."
