We want to empower Block and justify our lack of productivity, and that's fine. It's a perfectly good excuse. Years can pass, according to this excuse. The question is this: Do you want years to pass with minimal forward motion, or do you want to realize destiny? I choose the latter and so I ignore writer's block. You feel it glaring at you, antagonizing you, like a car crash that's got you stuck in traffic, blocking you from your preferred destination. Just ignore it and let out what wants and needs to get out. Your words are the vehicle.(less)

So if you want to write, go live a little outside your comfort zone and see where your mind goes. That's where ideas are born. Raising an idea is not so different from raising a child.
