Stephen Mulrooney’s thirty-something year dream of becoming a writer began to take shape in 2009 when the characters in these books began telling him their stories. It took another three years before he realized the best way to become a writer was to actually sit down and write. It helped. Stephen Mulrooney’s critically acclaimed first novel, NORMAL? was the first book in, what has become, the Normal? series.

I wanted to prove that we are all the same, only different. We love, we hurt, we bond, and we lose the same as all our fellow beings no matter our race, creed or orientations. When we lose the families we were born into, we create new ones. And we do it with the same love, humor and wisdom.

I truly believe that these books are about all of us no matter where we stand on the spectrum of human experience. We are all part of one glorious rainbow and I hope these books will help build awareness to the beautiful pallet bebore us.(less)
