Kirkus Reviews' Book Report of These Violent Delights

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this Book Report of These Violent Delights in Kirkus Reviews by the talented Stephanie Johnston.

Excerpt:

"Despite the dark parts, much of the focus is placed on the women who spoke out and the comfort they find in knowing they weren’t alone, talking through their experiences together and with family, and starting the healing process for old wounds."

Why Single Women Are More Powerful in America Than Ever Before

My latest story for VICE is an interview with Rebecca Traister about her excellent new book, All the Single Ladies: Unmarried Women and the Rise of an Independent Nation, which blew me away on so many levels. I never really knew why I was so ambivalent toward marriage for most of my life, but this book fully articulated those feelings. It also made me feel good about waiting until age 34 to get married.

New Story for VICE

In anticipation of her upcoming book tour, I recently chatted with new author Charlotte Shane about writing under a pseudonym, the similarities between sex work and writing, and the myth of the "white knight" ending for VICE. Read it here:
