Violet
Hi All! I released my latest book this past week. It's called Violet. It centers around a mass shooting at a concert. A few people have asked me about the title, why Violet? The answer is that Violet comes into play in the story when Anna admits to CJ that she has never liked her name because it's generic and she feels invisible. He asks her what she would have chosen and Violet is her first answer. But it's more than a name. The color and the meanings of that color permeate the story. The concept of Violet is what brings the characters to their fates.
I hope you will give it try!

Living in the Pages
I love how books just show up on here - even when I have actively tried to prevent that from happening. Well, this time it's fine. I published a Novella called Living in the Pages - it was featured in the Gateways anthology and it is a Gateway from my novel hidden in the pages. It does not have any characters in common, but focuses on the next man to possess the magic journal. Anyway, I was tossing around an idea about a full length novel based on this story so i published the novella so I could have it on my iPad for reference. Silly, I know, but hey, it's FREE if that makes the silliness any better. You can check it out on Smashwords, iBooks and B&N.com if you want a FREE copy!

Forsaken
It's done! At long last, Forsaken, the sequel to Glory, the wrapping up of the Last Son of Glory series is published. Yes, when I published Glory I hoped to have Forsaken out in 2014, but well, I got distracted.
Not many folks seem to read this genre and though Glory was well received and has gotten great reviews, it has a very small audience. But on the off chance that some of you were holding out just so you wouldn't have to wait for the final book, here it is, all done!
Glory was actually written first, The Messenger is second though timeline-wise it takes place earlier than Glory and is commonly referred to as the prequel. It does not matter in what order you read those two, but The Messenger had been meant to be a flashback in Forsaken, and the lost memory is important to the culmination of the story. I do hope some of you will check it out! I'd love to hear from you!

Questions for the Authors out there:
I have been working (on again off again) on Forsaken, the Sequel to my novel Glory for a couple of years now. I find it hard to write a sequel, it has to be different enough to hold the reader's interest, but not so much that it loses the appeal of the first book.
Glory is hands down, my favorite book that I have written. I know that there are not a lot of readers who will take a chance on a book with a Christian tag. It's okay. I did it. It's my crowning achievement, nothing else matters, but I am still heavily invested in the sequel.
So, here are my questions:
Have you started a new habit in your real life based on a character in one of your books? Has a plight of one of your characters become something that affects you in reality?
I started drinking Coffee when I wrote Glory. (Oddly enough, I had a quip in The Wishing Place about Coffee being addictive well before I started actually drinking coffee.) It's become such a part of my life that My Hubby got me a Keurig machine for Christmas.
Now I am deep into Forsaken. The MC is always cold. I live in Texas. It's not cold here. I am always cold.
Clearly writing alters my brain.
Perhaps I am too invested in this series.

The Postcard
My latest book, The Postcard is now available!
It's about a young man who was enlisted into a "terrorist" faction against his will and betrayed them to the US Government.
The book actually takes place nearly eight years later. He's married, has a good job and lives a comfortable life with the woman he loves beyond anything in the world. His life is thrown into chaos when he crosses paths with a man who calls him by a name he left behind all those years ago. And now he has to find a way to stop them again to save his wife and the country from retribution.
It's actually a Christian novel. His wife's name is Faith and she was written to be not just the woman, but the concept, the thing he believes in that gets him through the hard times. It's a story about Faith, Love and how far he will go to save the one thing he loves.
I considered shelving this release for a while, based on recent world events, but friends encouraged me to release it. I am concerned that there will be people offended by the subject, and seriously, if you don't believe that sometimes awful things happen to good people, PLEASE just don't read this!

Under A Million Stars
So one thing that I enjoy about writing is finding the voice of a character or a story. Under A Million Stars is a collection of short stories. Kama Vatsya is a fictional story about the man who wrote the Kama Sutra and what love meant to him. The story is framed out the way the Kama Sutra is because that is how he wrote.
The Phoenix and The Serpent is a love story based on the legend of Zal from the Epic of Kings, and I tried to keep the tone and language consistent with the legend.
But the most fun I had writing this book was the constant bickering of Remus and Romulus in Mare da Sogno.
The book is free on Smashwords, iBooks and B&N (sorry, still $.99 on Amazon, they don't let me change the price to free). frown emoticon
But if you would like a .mobi and don't want to grab it from Smashwords, PM me and I will send a copy to you.

Radio Interview
Here is the link to my Radio Interview with my dear friend Ed Kalegi of America Weekend! The interview is more about my writing process than the actual books, but it was really fun to do the interview.
