Andras' MoonRiver Series (Book 1- Air & Darkness)

First off Hello,

This is the first blog I have ever attempted to write so bare with me as I fumble my way through this.

So here is the background to how Air & Darkness came to be. I was searching for ways to interest my oldest child in the world of Lit. As a homeschool teacher I am always looking for out of the box ways to inspire my children to be passionate about reading, and writing. So began the story of Andras' Moonriver. It started out as a short story to capture his interest; taking some of his favorite supernatural, fantasy, sci/fic and the like to tie the book together. It blossomed into four individual short story books, one fed off the other to complete the whole of the work. I would type a few pages and read aloud to my son, soon he would be asking "What happens next mom?" So I would end up typing some more. Before long I had taken my own adventure right along with the main character, and realized that if I could capture a 10 yrs old attention I had something worth its weight in paper.

I figured the best way to show my children how to follow their dreams was to follow my own. So I took the leap of faith and published the first novel, which I had titled "Heir of Two Thrones."

I had three more mini books waiting in the wings to be published back to back , there was only one problem I had repeated myself describing Andras' in each of the following books, and I wanted it to look better. So I retired the four mini books and set to work gutting the first chapter of the last three novels, combining all four books into one giant book. Taking the titles and making them subtitles, Now I sit here with a finished product that I can actually be proud of.

I have started the Sequel and should be finished with my first round of edits by the end of this month. So it too can go to the publisher. Enlighted (The second book in the Andras' MoonRiver Series) will hopefully wrap up any cliffhangers from Air & Darkness, I do not know at this time if it will be the final story in Andras' Journey as she has captivated even my own interest. Only time will tell...

I am always open to suggestions and comments, so I hope you enjoy my work and I look forward to hearing any feedback..Air & Darkness (Andras' MoonRiver Series) Book OneAir & Darkness (Andras' MoonRiver Series) Book OneAngela Laycock
