The Earl, Her Reluctant Guardian
Thanks for allowing me to share a few moments of your time with a glimpse into the world of a writer. Someone recently asked ‘where do you find ideas for your stories’? I imagined others might be interested in my answer as well. I hear something in the news on the radio, or read an article in a paper, or even watch the news on TV. A bare glimmer of an idea seeps into my imagination. When the idea sparks, I take the embers and fan the flames into a story.
While sitting at my computer, I was studying some photographs. I have a picture of a lovely young girl, actually my granddaughter, but we shan’t go into that. A spark for my book now under contract flamed into life. I started with a character, the heroine and named her Vanessa. She is eighteen, alone in the world except for her aunt by marriage, whom she has never met. I write her characteristics on a page. She is kind, has sympathy for others, but she is head-strong, willful, defiant in order to survive. She refuses to become a doormat for her aunt or her guardian regardless. Of course, she lives in England during the Regency period. That sets the stage for what she can and cannot do, or what she should not do, seldom the same.
My books are never straight historical romance. There is often murder, abductions, spies, and other skullduggery. Yes, murder lays between the pages of Vanessa-until I think of another title. There is also an unexpected twist. This one has a resident ghost at Hill House, her home.
I hope to have the book posted on Goodreads shortly.
Respectfully,
Wareeze Woodson

Romance- Love Worth Keeping
Hello and welcome.
I write historical romance and thought I would discuss a little about my characters in my debut novel Conduct Unbecoming of a Gentleman.
I write historical romance and thought I would discuss a little about my characters in my debut novel Conduct Unbecoming of a Gentleman.
Adron is a leader of men, strongly attached to his family, especially his twin cousins. He blames himself when Robert is killed in battle.
He is appointed guardian to his cousin's son and vows to take charge of his ward. He doesn't trust the child's mother, mostly due to the unruly tongue of his remaining cousin, Rhonda.
Although he doesn't think Laurel is a proper mother, he falls in love with her. By the end, he tries to make amends, but will his blindness push Laurel into the path of a killer, or will he relent in time to save her?
