Hey everyone!

Just to let everyone know, Tracks is coming to paperback in about 5 days on amazon! It's also currently available on the createspace website ;)

So the reason I wrote this book is because I'm an addictions nurse. I really love my job and I like helping people with this disease, and I'm excited to do it full time one day ;). I wanted to draw attention to this horrible epidemic. So, I thought I'd share some statistics that I found :)

"A National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) report on heroin statistics estimates 3.7 million Americans have tried heroin at least once (2003).4

14 percent of admissions to publicly funded drug abuse programs in 2006 were for heroin treatment.

Of an estimated 113 million emergency department (ED) visits in the U.S. during 2006, the Drug Abuse Warning Network (DAWN) estimates that heroin was involved in 189,780.5

The heroin addict spends from $150 to $200 daily to maintain their heroin addiction.

From 70% to 80% of all new cases of Hepatitis C come from injectable drug abuse and while heroin can be ingested in other ways, most users choose to eventually inject the drug.

A list of celebrities who have died from drug overdoses or the consequences of drug abuse can be found at Wikipedia.6 The list runs into the hundreds, with heroin featured in many of the deaths."

Okay- I've learned a lot with publishing this book. Here goes:

- I LOVE goodreads. I am straight up addicted to it! My husband tells at me for being on it so much ;)
- I love the fact that I can interact with other readers and writers. There are so many inspiring writers I've met, like Belle Aurora! Love her!
-Publicity is hard on your own, but I think I'd rather go it this way. I read too many horror stories about how people get taken over by big corporations
-I need to learn some goodreads etiquette. I have this problem with being able to set tone in comments I make. I hope everyone can remember I'm a huge lover and not a fighter and don't want to fight. I appreciate every comment I recieve- good or bad- as long as I can learn something from them! So if I write something in the future and you're like "huh??" Don't hesitate to call my ass out on it and ill try to straighten it out.
-editing is hard. I need to get me one of those.
-a lot of people, usually outside of goodreads, don't have ereaders. How about that?? I just know so many people with one, I was shocked at how many don't! I love mine. Can't live without it!
- the sun will come out tomorrow ;)

Hi everyone!

I'm going to be updating the book in a few days, just correcting a few typos here and there. Cleaning it up a little :)

Isn't it something that no matter how many times you read something, there are always things that pop out at you? Maybe it's because it's my own work. And hey, I never claimed to be perfect at grammar and such. And definitely not a typist, either! No wonder editors are so important ;)

I will let everyone know when the update is up. If you've already purchased the book- you can download the update for free :)
