Pine Chest of Drawers Makeover

Now that it’s been replaced by a larger one, I’m doing a pine chest of drawers makeover. I bought it used several years ago, particularly cheap because it had some pretty major scratching and staining, but never got around to refinishing it because it was needed for storage. While not top of the range (plywood … Continue reading "Pine Chest of Drawers Makeover"

Simple Ikea Latt Table Hack

Ikea hacks seem to be all the rage these days. Pinterest is full of the amazing furniture people have turned bog standard pieces into. For our Ikea Latt table, however, it was more of a rescue.  After much abuse at the hands of 4-Year-Old, the surface looked like a teenager’s skin. The chairs were spared only … Continue reading "Simple Ikea Latt Table Hack"

Bathroom Project – Walls & Floors Competition Entry

Okay, this is sort of a sponsored post. UK tile company Walls & Floors are running a competition to design a room and do a post and Pinterest board on it. The prizes are many lots of tile vouchers and I covet. So, our bathroom is rather small – but quite light thanks to windows … Continue reading "Bathroom Project – Walls & Floors Competition Entry"

One Long Year in One Short Post

It’s been a long time since I posted here. I haven’t been writing much at all, actually. See, a while back I started suffering a lot of fatigue. I was doing two Zumba classes a week and walking a bit too, but I slowly dropped more and more because I just couldn’t find the energy. … Continue reading "One Long Year in One Short Post"

This Adulting Thing

It’s a terrible thing being a grown-up.  As Dave Lister put it, you become “reliable, sensible, dependable… and lots of other words that end in ible.”  In particular, you find […]

Goodreads Giveaways

A while back I read some advice to authors that said we should make our giveaways international, but that the majority of Goodreads users were from the US so most of winners would come from there.

In my case, this is not quite working out.

Where my giveaway winners have been from (most recent to oldest):
* Romania
* Batam Island, Indonesia
* US
* UK
* Pakistan
* India
* US
* Canada
* US / US
* UK
* US / Cyprus
* UK / The Netherlands

Still, nice to know my books are being read all over the world!
