Book Review

Book review can be fascinating!

For the author, it is heartwarming and sometimes amazing to see that the reviewer experienced the same feelings as you did, while writing. It could also be amazing if the reviewer comes up with an interpretation that you as an author had never thought of!

As an avid reader, book reviews give you a peek into the tale and a heads-up on what to expect! You can choose and pick (or even not pick!) based on the useful insights provided by the reviewer!

Last but not the least, the reviewer relishes the journey of exploring the author’s psyche through a story while executing the act of providing unbiased, genuine feedback to the eager readers!

I am going to create a separate page with a list of book reviewers on this site! Book reviewers are welcome to submit their name and contact details here http://anupamdasgupta.com/contact-me/

Books and eBooks!

eBook and Kindle and so on. I am still a huge fan of an actual, physical book. Something I can touch, feel, hold and make my companion!
The aroma of a tale hidden in the crisp new pages, waiting expectantly to be experienced :)

I have nothing against digitization, in fact many of my readers get my books from Kindle, the convenience is amazing, just a click away -> http://amzn.to/2oui0ra

Just that books can make you nostalgic which ties up with the old-worldly feeling waiting for you in the corners of a book store, amidst scores of books stacked away!

Or maybe I am just growing old :)

PS: Am still a thirty-something :)

Romance as a Genre!

Romantic novels can be cliched! Stereotyped! And yet they pull on the strings of your heart, make you smile, make you cry and make you very very thoughtful. Why?

Of course because romance is an ethereal emotion, an other worldly feeling which is never out of vogue! Bur wait a minute, maybe its so special because its other worldly! Maybe because the ideal characters in a romantic fiction behave and do things that we yearn for in real lives. Who would not want a brooding, committed and sensitive lover? But then life has other surprises and maybe somewhere down the line a touch of reality spoils it all :)

Love Story by Erich Segal is one of my all-time favorites. "That she loved Mozart and Bach. And Beatles. And Me." :)

Happy reading folks!
