My New Office!

I’m so excited! I usually am when I find a reason to blog though. Since I got my laptop in 2014, I haven’t really had a dedicated area that was all mine to write undisturbed. But as of yesterday, I have a new office space that’s all mine. I’ll show you some BEFORE and AFTER pictures of my new bare-bones office in a little while. But first, let me explain.

I’ve enjoyed coming up with my stories whether at our main computer desk where it all began, on the couch with my laptop, or sitting at the kitchen table, which has been my most recent work space. But my paperwork and notes have always been in the way, messy and unorganized, bringing to any room marked chaos. And when family needed them out of the way, they simply scooped up said papers and moved them, messing up any order I had to them and to my writing. I really haven’t done anything about this until now (with a LOT of help from my dear husband).

And, for the last two years, I’ve had a scrapbooking room and desk, since my oldest daughter got married, and even that space has been compromised and became the family storage/junk room, as you will clearly see in the photos below. Not only was my table removed from the room for large holiday dinners, my stuff would be moved again. But for the last two weeks, my husband and I (and even my kids) have been emptying all contents of this scrapbooking/junk room so that it could be painted and prepped for a more workable purpose, that of my new office /scrapbooking room. Yesterday, I finally got the scrapbooking desk cleared and prepared for just my writing. I now have a permanent, dedicated space for my writing. And here it is! I’m so ready! The scrapbooking portion of the room will be completely separate. This room is nothing to write about yet (but I am writing about it anyway…), and I will slowly add color and user-friendly decor as needed, but I’ll be eager to show you when the whole room is completely finished! My scrapbooking portion of the room is not yet functional with all its disorder, but I will get that under control as well, hopefully, by the end of the month. It might take more time than that, cost wise, but I’ll see how far I can get.

I only have so much time to dedicate to this project as I’ve reset some writing goals yesterday. I’m truly hopeful to put out a book this year of 2019. Book Four--CREIGHTON'S DAUGHTER is in progress. I’m thrilled at the prospect, I cannot lie! Having order is essential to accomplishing goals, and I feel like this is happening for me..finally. I’m vibrating with enthusiasm right now. It feels great to be able to set goals and see them come to fruition. So…without further ado…here are some pictures. Nothing big, but big to me.

Happy Goal setting to you!
Ellise

P.S. I’m off-schedule with my audiobooks as many of you have noticed (due to illnesses), but I promise to get all audiobooks out as soon as humanly possible. And if you would like to listen to my first audiobook, narrated by darling Kim Pruitt, here’s the  link !

More Book Cover Re-dos!

Still working on the book cover re-dos. Wasn't able to match up the turquoise title with the moon perfectly on Pirate Bride, so we went back to white. We took out the title ribbons to show more of her gown as well to sync with the other books that have no ribbon. Also, I want to show in the trilogy that there are three books plus a bonus available inside the book, so that's why I'm moving away from a single picture for the front cover. Your comments are welcome. I'm going to show all three stages of development: old, newer, and newest, and I'd love your input. Thanks! Please feel free to comment below. New Book Release Today!

Picture It’s Here! The much anticipated Book Three in The Huntington Saga Series Novels is Now Available! Get your copy of Elspeth Was Her Name here !

Elspeth McCabe leaves her small Scottish home desperate to find someplace safe…even if safety is only dirty streets. She cannot bear another day spent at the mercy of others.

Elspeth’s life in the year 1585 is filled with hardships she has borne with steely resolve for 20 years. Strong-willed, but quiet, she serves diligently in a wealthy household...a rich landowner's. But she will not allow his hands to touch her ever again. Nor will she allow her merciless and abusive father to take from her the only thing which might prove her bloodline.

Now on the run and without friend or support of any kind, she continues to bear difficulties that would easily destroy others. And it nearly does destroy her. Near death’s door, Elspeth is rescued and brought to a beautiful manor house in the Sussex countryside—Huntington Manor. Will she ever awaken? And if she does, will she find more evil charades she has only just escaped? Will she find a new master intolerable and immoral, too?

But Elspeth does awaken and what she finds frightens her more than any detestable hands ever could. Frightens her in a most strange, unpredictable, and delicious way. Can Elspeth ever trust a man enough to discover what a true and kind gentleman is all about? Find out in this third installment of The Huntington Saga Series Novels.

This is a standalone story, but enhanced by the previous books.
