The Colonels by W.E.B. Griffin

As usual W.E.B. Griffin gives a detailed account of a slice of military life. In this book it's obviously the lives of a group of men prior to the Bay of Pigs and pre-total involvement in Vietnam. Sometimes I believe the details are tiresome but, then again, this is the tenth book I've read of his so he must be doing something right.

PERSONAL BY LEE CHILD

This book was everything I'd come to expect from a Jack Reacher novel. Action packed from the beginning to the end. Reacher is still drifting but comes across an Army newspaper and finds a personal ad to him. He makes one phone call, and the action begins. Private jets across the country and over the ocean, chasing an American ex-military sniper who has Jack Reacher in his sights. Reacher is even hooked up with a pretty CIA agent named Nice.
