In the early 2000s Adam Berk went to college in Los Angeles to study film, and stayed there to try to be a movie star. He wasted a large portion of his life living in Hollywood as a struggling actor before realizing he preferred telling his own stories to auditioning for someone else's. After growing disgusted with the entertainment industry (and his many unsuccessful attempts to be a part of it), he got a master’s of professional writing from the University of Southern California.
