I grew up reading all the time. Early, it was The Three Investigators series created by Robert Arthur, then Agatha Christie. In 7th grade, I read Richard Connell's "The Most Dangerous Game" for the first time, my first run-in with true suspense. Someone at camp introduced me to the writing of Robert McCammon around that time. Those are early reading memories.

If range is a test of a writer, I've done okay. I wrote hundreds, if not more than a thousand, pieces of correspondence in my first job, as well as speeches, newsletters, and press releases.

Summer is a busy time for us in terms of travel/research and other activities so the list isn't long. My reading for fall, however... top of the list is Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann. I really enjoyed his The Lost City of Z and guest-led a book club discussion about it some years ago. (less)

I want to see the salvage yard where the Investigators' secret hideout is, and hang out there, of course. (less)

Puerto Rico and Giving Back

This really is just an announcement regarding our books. We feature cultural travel all around the world, including Puerto Rico.

Our family ventured to Puerto Rico in July and we had a wonderful time. We fell in love with the place and are very pleased to be in a place to help.

All of our October book earnings will go to hurricane relief. Our books are available on Amazon.

“This is the gift of your species and this is the danger, because you do not choose to control your imaginings. You imagine wonderful things and you imagine terrible things, and you take no responsibility for the choice. You say you have inside you both the power of good and the power of evil, the angel and the devil, but in truth you have just one thing inside you - the ability to imagine.”
