Daniel "D.C." Coleman writes dark literary fiction and historical mysteries that blend philosophical ideas, suspense, and literary storytelling. His work explores questions of memory, morality, identity, and the enduring power of love through imaginative, character-driven narratives, often weaving real historical events into fiction.

His short fiction has appeared in Aporia, an online literary magazine. A U.S. Space Force veteran and mechanical engineering student, Coleman began writing fiction with the goal of telling stories that challenge readers while remaining emotionally engaging. I understand the direction Golding was going for, but it simply didn't hit me the way I feel like a story should. It got to a point where there was nowhere for the plot to go—but I guess that's what happens when you set it on an island. ...more
