Hi there, and welcome!
I write clean, contemporary Christian romance set deeply within the rugged beauty and close-knit communities of the Appalachian foothills. My stories have been described as having a good blending of both Christian grace and real world grit. If you are looking for stories with deep spiritual meaning, complex heroes, and independent heroines, you’ve found the right shelf. Above all, I am a firm believer in happy endings, and I’ve been spinning stories since I was old enough to use a crayon.

My writing is drawn directly from a very vibrant, blessed life. I am a mother of ten children through birth, blending, and adoption. I successfully homeschooled four of them and am currently homeschooling my youngest. My family and I Hi there, and welcome!

My writing is drawn directly from a very vibrant, blessed life. I am a mother of ten children through birth, blending, and adoption. I successfully homeschooled four of them and am currently homeschooling my youngest. My family and I currently reside in Utah, but over the years, we’ve called Michigan, Texas, Kansas, and Butzbach, Germany home. Living overseas allowed us to travel extensively throughout Western and Central Europe, which sparked my lifelong love for world history.

I’ve worn a lot of different professional hats over the years, and I love weaving those real-world details straight into my fiction. Before turning my hand to writing, I worked as a midwife, which helps me bring a clinical realism to my medical characters. I also spent a years as an over-the-road truck driver, traveling the lower forty-eight states and most of Canada—a nomadic grit I love passing down to my independent heroines. Most uniquely, my past work as a bail bondsman and a bounty hunter provided me with a visceral, firsthand understanding of protective vigilance, security, and high-stakes human behavior.

I certainly don't do all this alone. My creative partner in life and literature is my wonderful husband, Richard. As a disabled Army veteran and a minister, his invaluable insights provide my manuscripts with an exceptionally authentic male, military, and pastoral perspective.

My path to publication has been a long journey of faith and resilience. Back in 1998, I finished my very first full-length novel. It caught the attention of a publisher who told me the writing was very good, but demanded I "spice it up" with graphic content. Because I had written it explicitly as a Christian novel, I refused to compromise my values. Crushed by that rejection and soon after devastated by the tragic loss of one of my sisters, I put my fiction aside for decades.

But God's timing is always perfect. My writing journey restarted in a pretty unexpected way years later. Long accustomed to gaming alongside my children—first to ensure their safety and later to stay connected across the miles—I found a sudden, overwhelming creative catalyst while playing the farming game Stardew Valley.

The inspiration exploded into a relentless, three-week writing marathon, producing over 700 pages of what would become my first two books: Whispers of Hope and its upcoming sequel, Hope Realized (launching September 8, 2026). Now, I have self-published: I'm not interested in being told to "spice up" my writing again. I don't have time for that nonsense.

As I watched both my devout Christian and secular adult children navigate the intense trials of modern relationships, I realized our young adults are desperately seeking a roadmap for "Faithful Adulting" in a confusing, sometimes hostile world. I wrote this series to address that need. Through my first heroine, Kaezia Gilbert—who begins as a casual believer piggybacking on her parents' vague faith before choosing a radical commitment to Christ—I want to show readers that while life is tough, redemption is real, and a happy ending rooted in God-breathed Scripture is entirely possible and deeply rewarding.
