I’m grateful for all the great times of 2025 and looking forward to the adventures of 2026. My year ended with so many blessings. My husband and I visited with our younger son and his family in Germany, and then attended our older son’s vocal performance in the annual Lyon’s International Christmas Choir in France. Up next—on December 8—is a story with stocking stuffer written all over it—my brand new romantasy novel titled FIRE WIZARD. In this launch book in my The Dragon Lair series, two ex-lovers—wizards with extraordinary powers and a sizzling past—must overcome the passion still simmering between them to defeat an ancient evil dedicated to destroying their world. Most of the action takes place on islands off the Pacific Northwest and involves a dragon’s poison called Magic Carpet Ride. While I was writing this story, I imagined this battle of magical powers taking place not far from my home here in Washington state, beginning with a fertility festival called Bealtaine. Will Morgan, a female Water Wizard, and her ex-lover, Rowan, a Fire Wizard, survive for their second chance at love?
