E.D.Lynnellen lives on the north coast of the United States, on the shore of an inland freshwater sea named Erie, in a small college town that doesn't have a college.

His literary influences are all currently dead, his beloved football franchise is woefully cursed, and the price of his favorite single malt continues to rise due to the growth of the Chinese upperclass's hunger for all things exceptionally Western.

His wife hasn't set him aflame (as of yet), and his children still talk to him by their own choice. All in all, life is....okay.

He continues to write because he firmly believes everyone is entitled to his opinions regarding life, liberty, and what is and is not funny.

Why is this a bad idea?

I'm watching television, and one of those Save the Children commercials comes on. One of the ones where you get a picture of a kid missing a tooth and sitting next to an open sewer. Heartrending.
This is immediately followed by another commercial lamenting the plight of abandoned dogs and cats. Also, deeply heartrending.
It hits me right away. This idea.
