It's done
Only the final editing is waiting to be done. I'm expecting to be done by the Thanksgiving holidays, depending on my artist friend in charge of the cover.

Yeah
remember the rough draft being done?
Me too. What a glorious day that was, full of hope and promise.
Yeah.
When you revise, things change. They change a lot. The rough draft is still done, just there are four new parts still waiting to be written. Think of it as a car without a paint job or a radio. It'll get you where you're going but the ride is gonna suck.
There's a new PS4 sitting in my closet. Been there for a week. I vow not to hook it up until everything is written.

I'm still alive!
Just thought you should know.
The Ivory Tower is coming along swimmingly. I want to have the rough draft to send out to my proofreaders done in two weeks, the night of the NFL draft. Take a few days off for the NFL draft to look at the book with fresh eyes. Then final editing.
It should be noted that the NFL draft is a sacred holiday in the Bramble household. We have traditions like food, movies, huge arguments, etc...

Haven't blogged in a while
Because I'm boring.
The Ivory Tower is closer to being done than I thought. I can think of three chapters that need written, and then some filler. I have every intention of having the rough draft done by Christmas and the editing done by the middle of January. Don't hold me to that though, because it might be early February.
Also, I found it funny that I just misspelled the word "editing" and had to edit it.

Say no to crazy people.
I swear the next series will NOT have a crazy person. Do any of you have any idea how difficult it is to have a conversation in Raven's head? There are grammatical rules authors must follow, and yet she doesn't do what's demanded.
Paragraphs contain a single, cognizant train of thought. If Raven's thought processes were broken down into individual paragraphs every page would look like this.

Short stories.
Lil, the mod from the Lesbian Book Discussion group, made an excellent suggestion a while back. A novel about Bekah and Raven growing up.
However, I already have a two novel series planned for after Windows is finished. But I do love the characters. What I've decided on is to write some short stories for my website, mostly dealing with Bekah and Raven as children.
The first one is up now. It isn't about them as children though. It's a rejected idea from the second novel that I didn't want to throw away.
