Brett O’Brien is an epic fantasy author who lives in New Jersey with his wife and two daughters, the oldest of whom has four legs and the cutest little tail you’ve ever seen. A voracious reader from a young age, Brett fell in love with fantasy through the works of J.K. Rowling, Christopher Paolini, and Garth Nix before discovering Brandon Sanderson, Robert Jordan, and George R. R. Martin. He’s an adamant believer that the secret to a timeless story is to craft compelling, emotionally complex characters, then sprinkle in some swords and dragons because they’re just plain cool.
