Productivity close-up day 1: Faff less, write more.
So. To increase productivity I have been tasked with the eye-opening, um, task, to see what I actually do with my time and where I can squeeze in more hours in the writing chair.
It’s Tuesday today, which means Bam Bam is in daycare all day, and this is my day so far:
– 6.30: Rise and shine (yawn) – wrestle the kid, feed him breakfast, make his lunch, wrestle him some more, somehow manage to get him washed, tooth-brushed, and dressed, and bring him to school.
– 9.00: Gym time with my buddy

Fated Release & Giveaway
Happy 2015, everyone. Let’s hope we’re going to have more of the good and less of the bad this time around. If you partied hard, may the hangover gods be kind to you, if, like me, you were in bed by 11? *high five*
Fated came out yesterday, the first book in the Shadow Mountain series, and I am so excited to share it with you guys. It’s a paranormal mystery with some gruesome murders, some suspense and a slow burn romance that gains momentum in book one, but doesn’t really find its resolution...

Rainbow Awards and New Releases!
So this tiny event took place yesterday, you may have heard of it. It’s called the Rainbow Awards and is organized by Elisa Reviews. I’m not even going to try to wrap my braincells around the amount of work it must’ve taken to organize this, to create all the posts over the past few months, to keep track of all the books and the judges and ahhh. But yes, it happened, and the best books clearly won.
When I entered The House on Hancock Hill, I never expected to get anywhere near any of the nomin...

Dust of Snow and its accidental presale.
So I had this fun idea of trying my hand at self-publishing (I’m not giving up Dreamspinner Press because I luuurve them. I just wanted to see what it’s like), and I have to say it’s been a fun experience so far. From working with Keira Andrews (who is an AWESOME editor btw), and being all excited about Garrett Leigh doing my cover art, to learning how
to do the formatting and LOVING IT (I know, weird right?), it’s all been a fantastic ride. I found Smashwords a breeze, I could work with ARe...

Sawdust – snippet
I held my breath walking by dumpster alley, old-fashioned key at the ready so I could open the door and close it behind me before I needed to breathe. The hair at the back of my neck stood...

“O Captain! My Captain! our fearful trip is done;
 The ship has weather’d every rack, the prize we sought is won;
 The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
 While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring:
 But O heart! heart! heart!
 O the bleeding drops of red,
 Where on the deck my Captain lies,
 Fallen cold and dead.
 O Captain! My Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
 Rise up – for you the flag is flung – for you the bugle trills;
